Overview
Embark on an exhilarating 6-day trek along the Kilimanjaro Shira Route, starting with a scenic drive to Shira Gate where your adventure begins. The route quickly ascends through lush montane rainforest, offering glimpses of unique flora and fauna before reaching Shira 1 Camp at 3,505 meters. Trekking across Shira Plateau on Day 2, you’ll experience expansive vistas of Kilimanjaro’s volcanic formations and distant horizons, camping at Shira 2 Camp (3,840 meters). The journey continues through alpine desert landscapes on Day 3, with breathtaking views of Kibo Peak and Mount Meru, culminating in an overnight at Lava Tower (4,630 meters) for acclimatization. Descending to Barranco Camp (3,950 meters) on Day 4, traverse the dramatic Barranco Wall, known for its challenging yet rewarding climb.
